Bernardsville contains the Morristown National Historical Park, the site of General George Washington's army encampment during the American War of Independence. The park has hiking trails, including the New Jersey Brigade Trail and the Grand Parade Trail, and hosts an annual re-enactment of Continental Army maneuvers in April. Lord Stirling Park, a well known equestrian center offering riding lessons year-round, also has hiking trails through the neighboring Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge area.

-Rosebowl, a lighted softball field.
